Finally! We successfully completed the 5 Peaks Challenge in Danao City, Cebu! 🔥 🏔️ Last stop Licos Peak, Brgy. Licos, Danao City, Cebu🌿 ⁹ From the jump-off area, the hike is only around 1 km, but don’t be fooled the trail is seriously treacherous! It’s foresty, rocky, and full of jungle vibes. It honestly feels like an adventure movie because the right path at the entrance is very steep you literally have to face the wall while climbing! 😅 The left trail (exit way) is a bit easier, with a better pathway and less hassle to climb. But overall, this peak will really test your hiking skills. As soon as you enter the trail, you can already feel the jungle atmosphere cool air, trees all around, and the calming sound of nature. 🌿 It truly feels like a wild adventure. A Beautiful Morning Treat at the Siquijor Market Center: If you ever find yourself in Siquijor, don’t miss the chance to enjoy a simple yet heartwarming pre-morning snack at the Market Center. We had a truly delightful experience indulging in a local favorite, pure hot chocolate (tablea) paired with Puto Maya, a type of sticky rice delicately cooked in coconut milk. The aroma alone was enough to draw us in, the scent of freshly melted pure cacao, rich and earthy, felt almost therapeutic. You can choose to enjoy your hot chocolate with or without milk, depending on your preference. We tried both and were pleasantly surprised at how each version brought out different notes in the cacao. The version without milk was bold and deep, while the milky one was smooth and comforting. The puto Maya was the perfect companion — soft, sticky, and slightly sweet with the richness of coconut milk soaking into every bite.
