If you’re looking for a peaceful and beginner-friendly hike, Mount Mago is a great choice. Just 1.5–2 hours from Cebu City, it offers scenic views without an exhausting climb.


🌄 The Hike
 • ⏱ 30–60 minutes to reach the summit
 • 🥾 Easy to navigate the trail
 • 🌿 Open grassland with wide paths
 • 🌤 Best time: Early morning or late afternoon

✅️Peaceful, less crowded, and suit for newbie hikers.
📍 How to Get There

🚐 Commute
 • Go to North Bus Terminal beside SM Cebu City
 • Ride a bus/jeep bound for Danao or 2nd option
   🔸️ Get off in Carmen Public Market
 • Get off at Santican Gym
 • Hire a habal-habal to the jump-off point in Santican gym
🔸️ Habal-habal fee is normally around 150 pesos per passenger from the Carmen public market to the jump off point in Santican gym.
🔸️Travel time is less than 40min. or depend on the driver since some roads is hilly, a lil bit of off road but its still manageable for all vehicles.

 • Search Mount Mago Santican Danao and use Google Maps
 • Travel time: is less than 2 hours (depending on traffic)

📝Note: When reaching at the drop off point in Santican gym, you may proceed to log your names for registraion and its free.

✅️ You can park your vehicles like motorcycle  inside in brgy. Santican gym with roof provided.

✅️ For four wheels, you can park outside the gym.

✅️ If you are a first timer, you ask a local guide at the drop off point and about guide fees depending of what you agreed or depends on you.

✅️ For camping, ask in registration area because camping is allowed too.
